The defence sector is grappling with significant challenges regarding spare parts and repair processes, particularly when certain parts are no longer produced or
when urgent needs make lengthy production times impractical. Additive Manufacturing (AM) is emerging as a viable solution, promising to revolutionize logistics by
providing rapid, on-demand production capabilities once fully tested and deployed.
In response to these challenges, the AM Village has been organized to facilitate collaboration between military stakeholders and solution providers.
This year's edition, held in Tournai, Belgium, saw active participation from DILAPRO project partners. The event served as a critical platform for aligning
military needs with innovative AM solutions, aiming to streamline defence logistics and enhance operational readiness.
