Great momentum at AMVillage2026, and DILAPRO was proud to deliver SW15: “Workshop On-site metal AM QA/QC bridging digital manufacturing for defence”.
The workshop brought together defence and industry stakeholders to discuss how quality assurance and
quality control, process monitoring, and traceability can support more reliable on-site metal AM, and how
digital approaches can help connect production with certification and qualification needs.
Key highlights from SW15:
• Quality and reliability challenges for on-site metal AM in defence
• The role of standards and qualification in supporting confidence and interoperability
• How digital tools can enable more connected and trustworthy AM workflows
A special highlight was the contribution from Teknologisk Institut, European Federation for Welding,
Joining and Cutting (EWF), Qualified AM GmbH, and Fieldmade AS with an introduction to
IAMQS and updates on recent standardisation and digital tools developments, reinforcing how shared
frameworks help build confidence and interoperability. The session was expertly organised and led by LORTEK, whose coordination played a key role in
bringing together partners and ensuring a productive and engaging exchange.
Thanks to everyone who joined the session and shared perspectives and valuable exchanges to keep advancing
trustworthy and connected metal AM.
