The DILAFACT project was presented at the TIMA – Technological Transfer Event, organized by ISIM Timișoara
(National Institute for Welding and Material Testing), a well-established international forum dedicated to
innovative manufacturing and joining technologies.
The presentation, entitled "DILAFACT: A Digital Twin-Driven Software Platform for Sustainable Laser-Based
Manufacturing", introduced the project’s approach to integrating digital twin technology with laser-based
manufacturing processes. The platform aims to support more efficient, optimized, and sustainable industrial
production, contributing to improved process control, reduced resource consumption, and enhanced product
quality.
TIMA brings together researchers, engineers, and industry representatives to promote technology transfer,
applied research, and collaboration between academia and industry in areas such as advanced materials,
welding, laser technologies, modelling, and simulation. The event provides an important platform for
sharing innovative solutions and fostering international cooperation.
The participation of DILAFACT in TIMA contributed to increasing the project’s visibility at an international
level and to strengthening links with the scientific and industrial community working on advanced
manufacturing technologies.
