DIgital LAser PROduction: Digital Twins of Laser Processing for Multi-Capability Manufacturing of Complex Components and Certification

DILAPRO Project Takes the Stage at the 67th EWF General Assembly in Lisbon

The DILAPRO Project achieved a key Dissemination milestone last week as it was formally presented at the 67th European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF) General Assembly, held in Lisbon.

This prestigious event provided the ideal setting for DILAPRO to share its vision and progress with a wide network of manufacturing experts and stakeholders.

Project Objectives Meet Industry Trends:
• Additive Manufacturing (AM): Advancing the quality assurance and efficiency of complex component production using laser-based AM technologies.
• Digital Certification: Developing the foundational methodologies for the DILACERT software, aiming to digitise and accelerate the certification process.

The EWF General Assembly proved to be an invaluable platform, fostering important discussions on the future needs of the manufacturing industry. Key themes debated at the Assembly—such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Sustainability within qualification and certification systems—are directly relevant to DILAPRO's ongoing development work.

Strengthening Collaboration with EWF:
As EWF is a key partner in DILAPRO, leading the crucial Dissemination, Exploitation, and Communication (DEC) efforts and actively involved in standardisation, this event was vital for reinforcing strategic collaboration.
