DIgital LAser PROduction: Digital Twins of Laser Processing for Multi-Capability Manufacturing of Complex Components and Certification

The DILAPRO project reached a significant milestone, officially completing its first 18 months. To mark this occasion and align on the project's future, the team gathered for its third physical meeting on 2 and 3 June 2025 in Oeiras, Lisbon, proudly hosted by the European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF).

This crucial two-day meeting was an opportunity for concentrated work and collaborative discussions on the project's next phases. Participants delved into the progress that had been made in enabling the faster implementation of complex product manufacturing through laser technologies. A key focus was the advancement of innovative software tools, including DILAFACT and DILACERT, which were central to the project’s goals of driving decarbonisation and the Green and Digital transitions.

Beyond the productive sessions, the meeting served as a chance to strengthen the bonds that drive innovation. The camaraderie and shared insights among the team fully recharged our collective energy for the remainder of the project.

The team left the meeting more invigorated than ever, confident that their continued collaboration will lead to significant breakthroughs. Updates and key takeaways from these sessions are expected to be shared soon.
